Butyl Primer DK-BUT^®27

Solvent-based butyl rubber primer.

Composition

The primer is a homogeneous black liquid composition, consisting of a polymer resin based on butyl rubber, elastomers, corrosion inhibitors, stabilizers, mixed with an appropriate type of solvent.

Area of application

Butyl Primer DK-BUT^® - apply as a primer to the metal surface and the adjacent factory insulation before applying all DK-BUT^® tapes and corrosion protection systems. It is used in almost all climatic conditions and in various temperature conditions around the world.
Butyl Primer DK-BUT^® - suitable for both machine and manual application. It can be applied with a brush or a paint roller. It provides excellent adhesion of the tapes to the pipe surface. Can also be used for temporary protection of sandblasted surfaces against rust.
