ZLAslk (Zinc Layer Anode)-external zinc anode
ZLAslk (Zinc Layer Anode) is a high purity (>99.95%) zinc foil coated with an ion conducting adhesive. ZLAslk is used to protect reinforced concrete structures against reinforcement corrosion. It is a sacrificial galvanic anode specifically designed to provide electrochemical protection, known as cathodic protection, preventing corrosion of the steel reinforcement of concrete.
The current required for cathodic protection is provided by the galvanic bonding of the steel reinforcement and the zinc layer that is part of the ZLAslk. No external power source is required. ZLAslk can be applied to the top, sides or bottom surfaces of concrete structures of various shapes and sizes.
Special advantages
Eliminates corrosion by acting as an active galvanic anode
Fully autonomous and self-regulating
Does not require connection to the power supply
Can be installed on top, side or bottom surfaces of reinforced concrete structures of all shapes and sizes.
Estimated service life is 21 years
Delivery form
ZLAslk is supplied in rolls of 25 cm, 12.5 cm width and 25 m and 15 m lengths.
After application, the anode can be painted in any color to the customer's individual order to meet aesthetic requirements.
