GSCslk Super Anode-internal zinc anode
GSCslk Super Anode is specially designed to neutralize corrosion inside reinforced concrete structures by active cathodic protection. It is made of zinc with 99.99% purity and coated with a patented ion-conducting paste that keeps the anode active throughout its lifetime.
Zinc is less noble than steel, which means it has a greater negative electrochemical potential. This makes zinc a sacrificial anode and steel a cathode.
The current flowing from the anode to the cathode neutralizes corrosion of reinforcement and prevents concrete cracking.
Provides a significant reduction in corrosion and prevents it from occurring in new locations.
Special advantages
Active cathodic protection
Estimated anode life of 10 to 20 years
No need for anode cable
Easy assembly
Low cost
Ideal for patch repairs
Natural adjustment of current density according to the needs of the reinforced concrete structure
No need for supervision, monitoring or maintenance
Technical recommendation from IBDiM
Assembly method
GSCslk Super Anodes are directly connected without cables and are embedded in concrete or repair mortar.
Each anode is covered with a polyethylene film to prevent contamination during transportation and storage.
The anode is ready for use as soon as the package is opened.
Area of application
GSCslk Super Anode is used in areas with a high risk of corrosion and is ideal for the protection of both new and existing structures.
It is particularly recommended for durable structures operating in harsh environments such as bridges, viaducts, tanks and foundations.
